1/2 teaspoon allspice
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2oz white pepper
3/4 pint vinegar
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Cut tomatoes in half, thinly slice onion and quarter but do not peel or core the apples.
Place with the remaining ingredients in pan and cook slowly for 1 hour.
Rub through a wire sieve.
Add more seasoning if required.
Cool slightly and place in clean warmed jars.
